This Telemecanique XUB9ANANM12 polarized retroreflective photoelectric sensor detects an object without contact in applications such as packaging, conveying, and assembling. Its plastic 18-mm barrel body has a DC input, 3-wire NPN output wiring, normally open contacts, and an M12 micro-connector connection. The polarized retroreflective, or polarized reflex, detection system emits a visible laser through a polarized filter to detect, with precision within a medium distance, the presence of an object of a specific color. The polarized filter assists in detection of reflective items or in bright environments where glare might be a concern.
